Goodbye Blackberry, Hello ‘Droid

Well my Blackberry 8900 is going bye-bye. It keeps shutting down on me and it is getting annoying, so due to lemon laws I am able to switch out my phone for a different one. The one that is allowed is the 3G MyTouch which has the Google Android OS on it. This won’t be my first ‘Droid phone, but there has been some changes since the last one I had. Sad thing is that I will miss the 8900. It is a good phone. I installed BB OS 5, and man the phone looks nice. Threaded SMS, new icons, and the resolution just looks smoother. At least most of my friends have Droid phones so I can ask them what are some nice apps to rock out.

I added some new music on the list, nothing spectacular. You will see Kanye West’s new single Power on there. I like the track, it has that Kanyeazy feel to it. Thats it for now.

Took a quick trip…

Took a quick trip to Brew City aka Milwaukee, WI. Had some family business to take care of up there. I was also able to hang out friends and share a few drinks and plenty of laughs. The wedding is in a few weeks so no more trips or excessive spending, I really didn’t want to because of the spending, but my fiance knew that I needed to go or it would bother me, so I went and she was right. The trip was therapeutic.

I’m going to start throwing up videos on here so if there is something you want please request it by dropping a comment or line to me. That’s it for now. Later

Swagga is Missing

So I wake up this morning feeling like ass. I’m struggling to get up while my fiance is getting ready for work. She leaves to go to work early, and after giving me some meds to feel better, I get ready to head to work. I get to the parking lot to find my car is gone. Someone took the Swagga Wagon. I wasn’t freaking out, but just like “Damn.” I’ve had cars stolen before so its not like this is my first rodeo, so I call the future wife and tell her. She’s like ok. Well long story short, the idiots at her apartment management decided to have our car towed because they can’t see the permit sticker. Its right on the windshield. So we have to go there later and get it.

So besides have my car taken, everything is good, well sort of. I have to go to Milwaukee for some family business and see my brother. Granted I like going back to Milwaukee, but I want to bring the family. So under the not so good pretenses that I have to go to the Brew for, nonetheless its time with family.

My friend Miltownkid is back and blogging again so I’m happy for him, and he making moves and making dollas. Nothing else i can think of at the moment.

OH GO to studio4115.com and peep the sale he’s having on prints. It’s a fund raising event and deals are bound to be there.

Nothing really new is going on except the wait to Trinidad. Granted it is stressful trying to save and find money for a wedding, but that comes with the territory. I sold my Desktop because I am giving up on MMO Gaming. So no Star Wars Old Republic or Final Fantasy 14 for me. Sticking with consoles. I hoping to pick up a Macbook soon (I had on ebefore and loved it but sold it to get back into school). Before you go on your Macs sucks ad campaign, I’ll tell you this. Macbook are the best laptops out there because I can safely run Mac and Windows side by side, or on seperate partitions via Boot Camp. This way I have 2 PCs for the price of one. Are Macs over-priced? Yea. Do they suck for not having Blu-Ray Drives? You bet, but that still doesn’t take away from them.

On another note, folks you will notice that I added a new Blog to the Blogroll. Studio 4115 is a site that belongs to Clarence Baillo. He has been blessed with an eye for photography. His shots are amazing. So why not take a look and see what’s in store. You might want to fill your house up with his prints, if not just take a look.

2 months and counting…

I’m 2 months away from flying to Trinidad to get ready for my wedding. I can not wait. Ready to eat some good food, and relax on some beautiful beaches. I’m still trying to get my children to come but we shall see on that one. After Trinidad, its off to Italy. I can not wait.

Other than that nothing really new: playing Monster Hunter Tri, enjoying my blessings the Good Lord has bestowed on me (My fiancé, and children), working, and school. One of my old War buddies contacted me for some info assistance, so I think I’m going to create another blog in regards to Veteran Information. The pool is pretty dry for this so hopefully I can add some substance.

Nothing else is new with me. Granted it is now hurricane season, and BP is really doing a crime to the world with their BS oil spill. I’m going to throw some new tracks on the side for folks to listen to. I originally wanted just instrumentals, but I think I’m going to go with just mellow chill tracks. Well enjoy the music.

Making some changes…

Not on the site, but in my life. I sold the netbook. It was a great tool to have, but I prefer my Macbook. The fiancé is very defiant on me waiting till after the wedding to purchase it, which is right. We need to save funds for the wedding and additional costs that come with a “destination” wedding if you want to call it that since my fiancé’s family is from the Caribbean.

Another change will be the departure of the Xbox 360. Granted I would like it to stay, but it has to go in order assist us in paying for the wedding. The reason its still around is that everyone is low balling. Maybe be if i don’t sell it, I can keep it if it comes time for the wedding, but we shall see.

One new addition is the Nintendo Wii, I’ve been playing Monster Hunter Tri when I get the chance. The game is great, and it just happens to be one of those titles that you either hate it or love it.

In more grown up news, I’m one class from graduating with my Bachelor’s, but won’t be able to take the class till Fall so for now its academic forgiveness time.

Well that’s it for now, and I will get those Tuts up soon. Granted with the school and stuff, I’ll have less time now (more time if i could put down Monster Hunter).

Well Spring 2010 is over. So I finished both my Spanish 2 and Caribbean Theater Classes, thank the good Lord, and may he bless me with extraordinary grades. So it’s Sunday and enjoying a beautiful weekend with my fiancé and copped a Nintendo Wii with Monster Hunter Tri (I LOVE Monster Hunter). I picked up the bundle so I have a black Wii Classic Controller Max or Plus, whatever it is called. So I will spark that up later tonight, and get on some MH. I’m contemplating on modding the console, but not sure yet.

As for other news, I started my new job, and its a blessing. I have a higher wage (i actually have a salary) and I have

I know the site needs it, but I was talking about me and my new job. Today is my last day where I work. I’ve been here for just under 2 years, and through all the BS I have had to deal with, I’m going to say I’m going to miss this place, but better pay and benefits (I need to feed my family) is making me leave. I was hoping for my current spot to try and keep me, but its become too much of a click thing here, so it is best that I go.

Funny that since I’m leaving this song has hit me pretty hard.

In my journey to learn in regards to getting in the Instructional Design, I’ve learned about Moodle. It’s a nice alternative to Blackboard, which a lot of campuses apparrently use for their online instruction. It doesn’t seem hard to pickup, but som epeople have stated that it can be expensive to maintain. So now I’m trying to look for nice online resources to learn onm how to play with this, but the only reference I can find is Lynda.com. Lynda.com is a great site, but I don’t feel like paying $25 a month for video instruction. Granted it is a lot cheaper than paying for instructions, just right now I would like to find some free resources.

Other than that same ol same old going on. About 3 weeks left in the semester, so I can not wait for it to finish. Well be safe ya.
